I have loaded thousands of shotshells using Federal primers and to my knowledge have never had a primer related misfire. They load smoothly and fit snugly and I have used them with equal success in both Federal and Winchester hulls.

I use these primers in my CVA Paramount Pro .50 cal. Compared to Winchester 209 muzzleloader primers, the difference is night and day. My groups are much tighter with the Federal primers. At 100 yards, all things equal (i.e. bullet, powder charge) the Winchester primers result in a POI that is 7 inches lower than the Federal primers.
