Buffalo Rifle is a unique, extruded smokeless powder specifically designed for straight-walled rifle cartridges and reduced-recoil loads. Its formulation allows for safe and consistent performance even at very low loading densities, making it a highly versatile choice.

• Versatility: This propellant is optimized for straight-walled cartridges like .38-55 Winchester and .45-70 Government. It also excels in creating reduced-recoil/reduced-energy loads for almost any rifle application. This allows a hunting rifle, like a .30-06, to be used for low-recoil plinking, or a .243 to be adapted for small game hunting.   
• Performance at Low Density: Unlike many powders, Buffalo Rifle ignites and burns consistently even when the case is less than half full. A test load of just 22 grains in a .30-06 Springfield with a 168-grain bullet—a loading density of less than 50%—burns extremely well. This makes it ideal for economical, light loads.
• Optimal for Cast Bullets: The propellant’s surface lacks a deterrent or burn rate modifier, which ensures consistent ignition. This characteristic is particularly beneficial for achieving accuracy with cast lead bullets and in rifles with long-throated chambers.
