Hornady 45-70 Government Brass Overview
Hornady 45-70 unprimed brass offers tight tolerances, consistent concentricity, and consistent weights and capacities. Their manufacturing processes ensure consistent bullet seating and ejection for optimal velocity and accuracy. Sport shooters insist on consistent case wall thickness and tight tolerances. Hornady views brass as the foundation of an accurate cartridge, not a commodity. New, unprimed brass. This is not loaded ammunition.
Hornady cases allow proper seating of the bullet, not only in the case but in the chamber as well.

Norma and Nosler are top notch but it’s hard to afford them for every cartridge I reload for… this Hornady brass fits the bill. Great quality at a price that doesn’t break the bank account and Hornady is available in far more calibers. I’m very pleased with the uniformity, primer pocket consistency, and availability.

Excellent reloading brass. I know that these babies will last for a long time. I load using a Lee press and dies for use in a Garret reproduction .45/70 Sharps carbine. Haven’t had any problems with the brass so far.
